GoSurila teaches Indian classical flute. To do that it has to listen to you play and keep a record of how it went. This page says exactly what that means, in plain language.
We do not sell your data, we do not show advertising, and there are no advertising trackers in the app.
Your name and email address, given when you accept an invitation or sign up. If you sign in with Google, we receive the email address and name on that Google account — nothing else from it.
When you record a take, the audio is sent to our servers, analysed note by note, and kept so that you and your teacher can listen back to it. The microphone is used only while you are recording a take or using the tuning and long-note tools — never in the background, and never when the app is closed.
Scores, per-note analysis, which exercises you have played and when, and the points, coins and streaks that follow from them.
So we can find what is broken and what is confusing, the app records events such as which screen you are on and how long it was open. Each event carries a device identifier, a random identifier for the install, your account id once you are signed in, the app version and the platform. It does not carry your location, your contacts, or anything else on your device. These events are deleted automatically after two years.

Nobody else. We do not share your recordings or your practice history with anyone outside this list, and we never sell them.
The app does not ask for your camera, your contacts, your location, your photos, or your files.
Write to us at the address below and we will delete your account, your recordings and your practice history. We will do it within 30 days and confirm when it is done. You can also ask for a copy of what we hold about you.
GoSurila is not aimed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly create accounts for them. A child learning the flute should use the app through a parent's or teacher's account. If you believe we hold data about a child, tell us and we will remove it.
Traffic between the app and our servers is encrypted. Recordings are held in private storage that is not publicly listable, and reached only through short-lived links issued to signed-in users. Passwords are stored hashed, never in readable form.
If this policy changes in a way that affects you, we will say so in the app. The date at the top always tells you when it last changed.
